Communal Systems

As a company MDTV builds and maintains communal television systems for Councils, Housing Associations and Managing Agents. Most of the systems built are either 5 wire or 9 wire systems which basically means on 5 wire systems you get Digital Terrestrial Television, Satellite broadcasts from the ASTRA satellite, which is where the SKY channels come form, FM and  DAB radio programs are also available with either a 9 wire or 5 wire system.  For 9 wire systems you get the same as for 5 wire with the addition of Hotbird from Eutelsat 13 degrees east.  This satellite carries mostly foreign language channels

There are many free to air channels on ASTRA in addition to those provided by Sky.

MDTV can provide Sky Installations and Installation of Humax receivers for Hotbird.

Residential homes

MDTV, as a Sky authorised dealer, can install Sky digital to individual residences. Currently if you sign a contract with Sky for 12 months you will get the equipment and installation free of charge.

If you wish to receive any of the channels on Hotbird, MDTV can install an 80cm dish on your property and provide a Humax receiver with the correct decryption CAM built in.
